Probably NYC...worth a visit. You could spend a whole week HERE, though, and the tickets are less...

It was museum of modern art in NYC. We got in completely free, friday nights are free apparently... I was stunned by the place, thought the stuff there was absolutely amazing.

The girl i went with didn't get most of the shit though. She was saying that some of the stuff "wasn't art". Like if it wasn't a painting she thinks it's not true art. Some of the best things i saw there were sculptures, architectural creations and other really unique media. Said other shit was "really simple" and thought she could've done it herself. She doesn't seem to get the subtleties.

There was also some really interesting mixed media art in the seventies section (i don't remember what its actually called) in which a video is played on a screen and you listen to audio with headphones. She just thought it was weird, asking what's this supposed to be. I responded "art" and she didn't get it. It was some weird shit but i was fascinated by it and thought it to be a great form. One video that stood out was a loop showing this girl drink milk from a hole in a milk bottle and then throwing up/spitting up the milk back into the bottle and repeating the process. It was played with this odd music on the headphones but it just worked.

The paintings they have there highlight the greats of a lot of different styles and artists, i had no idea such great art was at this place. Huge selection of Picasso, great works by Dali, and amazing pieces by Van Gogh are just a few of the famous ones that stood out. There were some really awesome works by people who i was not familiar with and cannot remember the names but i plan to look it up. All in all it was a great experience.

This trip to MoMA got me into art again, and i'll be going back a lot more often now that i've seen what its like.

But i think i'm done with this chick, she doesn't have an open mind and she doesn't "get" me. I give to much without getting anything back with her, and i'll bend but i won't break.

Dumb girls are such a turnoff. I can't help but to lose interest in a girl the instant she says "I don't get it". Ditch this chick.

Yeah, it's pretty dope. Scope out what you want to see most, and do that. It can get pretty exhausting in there, just so much to see and do.

After you go, make sure to post what you liked and disliked.

Have fun!
