Fuck, I need help with proxy.

I have been trying for hours to get my browser to pull up pages with a proxy. I finaly got it to work (although I couldnt chain them) and when I went to http://www.rental-web.com/~azuma/cgi-bin/env.cgi to check if it was working they had everything on me. WTF, I have I.E5.5 and a cable modem, is there some special trick to getting a proxy and linking with this setup? I have spent at least 5 hours total working on this issue and have accomplished nothing but a headache from my cheap monitor.

I should add that I have thouroughly read posts by both Alien and Lana on how to accomplish this and it still wont work. Java is off.

http://www.proxys4all.com/topten.shtml list of good proxies, forget using proxies from multiproxy, just use the multiproxy software and these proxies.

I was using those and couldnt link them. When I checked them I was still showing up.
