Underground/ New
    #7634394 -

i listen to shit like transplants, a perfect circle, tool, from autumn to ashes, deftones, and blah blah blah. they are all still decent bands but its all getting old. is there any music out there that might be underground or new that falls into any of the music styles i mentioned? I'm really looking for shit along the APC and TOOL style of music. then the harder shit like FATA and Deftones. i really like transplants first album but I'm not into punk. any suggestions?

i'm admittedly something of an indie kid. i know "indie" just stands for independent label, but indie pop/rock has really developed into its own genre. i don't limit myself to that though. i'll listen to anything from the kinks to jimi hendrix to the beatles to the unicorns to busdriver to buck 65 to radiohead to archers of loaf to devendra banhart to appleseed cast. currently, my favorite band is pavement.

in terms of "harder shit", check out Refused - esp their album "the shape of punk to come". they turned into the [very very shitty] band the international noise conspiracy, but while still refused they were pretty good.

i don't really listen to anything similar to what you mentioned you like, though, so wouldn't be the best person to give many recommendations beyond Refused.

I'm mostly into Grateful Dead/Indie Type music. I used to like the Misfits some, I'm sure you've listened to them, but in case not:

My buddy used to hang out with modest mouse in school, he said they started playing high school partys for people in their parents basements in Oregon. Funny shit man. I like them as well tho, the comback kids are the shit too.
