I like alot of the hip hop thats on the Tony Hawk games and what not and im wondering if i could get some names of other really good underground hip hop artists. I like rap, hip hop along with pretty much every other kind of music but i hate the stuff they play on the radio thats just about gangs and guns

all i listen to is rap and hip hop. mostly underground becuase i dont like the mainstream bullshit they show nowadays, too much
some other artists are immortal technique, jedi mind tricks, brotha lynch hung, papoos, fiasco, cassidy and way more

Will defintely second the low end theory by a tribe called quest, and throw in the a lot of Busta Rhyme's SUPER old shit has great hip-hip (his new shit sucks) but i will also say that mac dre is noteworthy.
Im a fan of all things beat driven, and i would also suggest looking into some electronica like isolee, and swayzak, just to name a few.
Also look into some Dub-Reggae it you like fat beats. Impact All-Stars, King Tubby, Revolutionary Dub Warriors, and of course Scientist are all amazing.
Electronica and Dub have very little lyrical content which makes me extremely happy (i dont care about how many times some jackass was shot or how many bitches he can get back at his hotel)
Check out Pandora.com and make a station with any band you seem to like and it will go from there!
