Correcting papers.

My buddy is really intelligent.  Well, most of the time.  Sometimes when he drinks and eats multiple Ativan I think otherwise, but for the most part, he's got a decent head on his shoulders.

So he asked me to look over a few papers that he's had to do for English, because I don't really mind helping out and I'm fairly proficient at writing papers.

I open it up, and I'm bombarded by fragments, awkwardly placed prepositions, ridiculously placed interruptives, and sentence structure that just makes me gouge my eyes out.  Not to mention his one argument for his first premise is "What difference does it make?"  That's it.  No further explanation is included, just a question as an argument.

Oh well, I shall rip him a new one in my RED font.  It's as if he didn't even try, really.

This is pretty much a rant.  The upside to all of this is that I get free blotter for helping him with English, as well as some practice with my writing/correcting skills.

also, i've found that some people just fucking BLOW at writing papers. like even intelligent people. everyone has their strong suits, maybe this just isn't one for the guy.

Yeah, he writes as if in conversation, which doesn't serve well if you want good grades in a college English course.

He's pretty pwnsome at math and computer shit, though, and I blow at computer shit.
