I didn't know what to search for and I can't remember....can you mist pins when they are babies or should you wait until after they are over 1" big?

I never ever use a spray bottle except for directly after I harvest a flush. This may be just cause I'm an ultrasonic kind of guy, but I never have a delay in crops and they're always plenty huge. Misting the casings with pins directly can also bring a somewhat greater risk of contamination due to the sitting water. What ever "teks" say, experiment with it and go with what works for your set up - if your "shit" is noticably "dry", then "mist" the mother fucker.
I love the wonder that is mushrooms. We are the luckiest people to be able to cultivate these fun guys. Happy shroomin'.

Generally water buildup on pinhead is a bad thing, a misting right on your casing would make droplets of water form on the head. That can help them abort and also has a risk of causing rot....i would assume.

I dunno....
In the faq it says it's all good to mist the pins...I don't see that it could hurt them as long as you have good air exchange.
Pins in nature get morning dew and even rain and they are usually big and healthy:)

well all the newbies are telling you it will fuck it up don't its a no no lol. then you have anno and other professionals tell you it dosn't do to much if you do it properly do it. so do what you feel is right. I'm going to inject 10cc's of water in mine and my pins are about an inch long so everyone does it diffrently do it your way. experiment thats what makes growing mushrooms so fun
