I really wouldn't want to bitch about the consolidating of my debt and them giving me cash bonuses for paying them like I said I would in the contract they offered me and I signed.

You see, I got an offer I couldn't refuse.

Good plan, then you can earn 10% APR on a loan you are paying 20% APR for.

You never get ahead with credit cards. You only get into debt, thats the only thing they do. Ya, they build credit, but ask yourself. What is credit good for?

Good credit just allows you to get into more debt. Its a rigged system, nobody is designed to win except the credit card companies.

Also, back to your original question, you better change that SSN so that its correct on the account. Find out how and do it. If you try to max it out then ignore it so it doesn't fall onto your credit, that will come back to bite you in the ass. Credit companies talk to each other for a reason. Mainly to screw you, thats the only function they have.


Yea I probably will fix my snn and all that. But on a side note. I feel very much the way you do about credit cards. They may money by fucking up ppl's lives. But also, almost every business starts by barrowing money. Some fail, some suceed. Also I think you get charged no interest if you pay on time. And I get no interest for a year. Also, a lot of people are irresponsible with thier spending habits.

Perhaps, but it may be important to note to the original poster that coming within 30-35% of your credit limit hurts your credit, even if you pay it off every month. Don't ask me why, but its the way it is.

Well, that introductory no interest thing is designed to get people into the habit of NOT paying it off every month. Also, read your terms and make sure you get no interest if you pay on time.

my first card ticked up the finance charge(code word for interest) counting the minute i borrowed.
