n00b. need dunk instruction

I have two cakes that are about done on thier second flush.
And one cake that is done with the first fush.
first flush was just straight birth out of the jar and placed into terrariam.
second flush was standard PF double end casing TEK.
I am confident that i can get a third out of it.

what are the steps i need to follow to do a good dunking?

Either take the jars you grew the cakes in (doesnt have to be the EXACT one silly) or a pot of some sort and almost fill it with water...throw the cakes in and make sure they're submerged...wait 12-24h and then re-birth! easy as pie!

great. I assume that ill clean the cake of all aborts large and small. do i need to skin the cake? meaning take a knife blade and remove the thin oustside skin/layer of mycelium, like you peal and apple. or it dosent matter. I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea to have a fresh brand new skin of mycelium grow on the cake after it has been removed from the 12-24 hours of dunking.
