Clear slime, safe to eat?
    #7518368 -

I just picked my first flush. Got a good 60g from one cake (and some small ones from two other cakes). However one of the caps had a clear slime on it. Most dripped away before I got to take this picture.

It doesn't smell bad or anything. I'm guessing it's just water from inside the shroom as part of a breakdown process? Is it safe to eat?

edit:
Realized it's probably bacterial blotch. So I tossed it.

Dry it fully or boil into tea before consuming. Slime can indicate bacteria, which causes food poisoning.

Thanks, I'll remember that for next time. I tossed this one, it was pretty small anyways. Better safe then sorry.

I dropped humidity and temperature a bit, and fanned plenty, to avoid spreading of bacteria. Hope that was the correct thing to do(?).

Are there any fruit infections that are still dangerous after boiling?

I'm guessing it's the toxins which are dangerous. And my bet is that their are toxins which does not disappear when boiling or drying. Just guessing though
If someone knew, that would be great!
