keeping laptop screen clean

I now have my first laptop I bought some electronic wipes at walmart but they seem to leave streaks. This is new Toshiba and the screen finish isn't those of older laptops it has like a high gloss finish.
Any recommendations, I tried using the electronic wipe with a sunglass cleaning cloth and I still have streaks everywhere.
Any tips?
Thanks in advance.

Usualy, a damn cloth + paper towel is recommended. It works great for matte screens, i'm not a 100% sure for gloss. But give it a shot anyway, it cant hurt it.
As for 'older', matte is still a choice in laptops because it has different color reproduction compared to glossy. Glossy is better for movies, while matte is good for photoshop and office work. I don't know the details, but it's something along those lines. Glossy will reflect any lightsource behind/above it, and will show any smudges readily. In the end, both are good, but glossy tends to be pricier because it can make images more 'vibrant'.

at work we use these. (Read Right Kleen & Dry) works on CRTs and LCDs just fine and imparts an anti-static effect to the screen so dust doesn't immediately pile up.
as far as using an air compressor i'd be wary of the thing spraying water mist on my equipment. really depends on your compressor setup, i suppose.

may not want to use alcohol, it can cause clouding of plastic surfaces over time

Any chemical that is acidic WILL DAMAGE YOUR SCREEN. Do not use things such as Windex as the ammonia in it causes damage to the surface. They market spray for big screen LCD TV's called 'Monster Spray'. You can pick this up at any Best Buy, and even get the one that has a microfiber cloth (shammy) with it.
Alternatively, you could also use Windex WITH VINEGAR (not ammonia based), and water it down to about a 60Windex/40Water solution. That's a cheap way, but we use Monster Spray and it ROCKS! I can mail you out some trial wipes if you want at no cost, we got a hefty amount of them
