yes too bad I did. I also did that because at that point I had no experience w/ shrooms. then i 'learned to fly' perhaps i should get a new one 'flying is fuckin awesome'

That's a really hard question to answer....

I'm not sure, my top 3 albums are wish you were here, atom heart mother, & animals though.

If you don't have the Trance Remix of Wish You Were Here i suggest you download the album, its fukin awesome.

nah i do like pink floyd but i can definitely see why someone wouldn't. with that said there is some of their music i absolutely love, and some of it can suck pretty fuckin bad. two sides to every coin

first of all. it wasn't your opinion that i was bothered by. but it was how you expressed that opinion then degraded the original poster. assuming that you were being sarcastic...or maybe you really love 16 year old kids and wish you still were one. i don't know man......it wasn't kosher...normally i wouldn't care...but we're talking pink floyd here.

the funny thing is, most people associate their music with drug use and the members didn't even use that many drugs. just alcohol, some weed and a little LSD. well, except for Syd Barret. he did lots of LSD and kind of "stepped out" for a while after their first album, "the Piper at the Gates of Dawn". there is a video of his first experience ever with LSD and you can tell that he sees something beyond this world that he is heading for.

i love all of Floyd's older stuff but once you get up past "the Wall", it gets kind of lame. although, the little bit i heard of Dave's new album sounded good. their best stuff was Meddle, Animals, Wish You Were Here, and DSOTM. all of it was very well crafted and has a ton of impact. DSOTM was recorded at Abby Road studios at the exact same time the Beatles were recording the white album. good engineers over there at that time, mainly Alan Parsons. he has some good stuff. there is one album of his, "iRobot", or "Eye in the Sky", i can't remember which, that sounds a lot like DSOTM. but... oh yeah, "a Saucerful of Secrets" has some great stuff on it, not produced as well, but still very good.

btw, i did a report on PF in 9th grade. it was awesome, i got a 97% :laugh:

if you like Pink Floyd, check out Can :thumbup: "Future Days" is a great track with this kind of shuffling/wave-crashing-on-beach sound the whole time that takes control of the intensity, also very crafty.
