It's green on my monitor
But you're right...on looking at my Pedro's and their "greeniness", I can say that Pedro in the background doesn't look as yummy. But you never truly know what digital photography embelishes....
ChemKid: move that sucker to some good sun. It's a large specimen, she can take some decent sun. Please do report back and let us know if she looks a more vibrant green afterwards.

Just out of curiosity.....what do people mean when they say not to over water (in regards to pedro)? Should you water until you see a bit of water in the drainage pot or is that too much? I usually water until I can stick my whole index finger in the dirt and feel moist soil in all parts of the pot. What do ya think?

Don't water-log the cactus. This is one of the reasons why it's very important to use a light and aerated planting soil -- they help cut down on water-logging which leads to rot.

hey psyconaut....I did what you said and lugged all 80 pounds of my pedro into the sun for about four hours and it already looks better. You can't see a huge difference but I think one good sunbath a week should do it nicely. The rest of the week it will get the grow lights I have on it.
Thanks for the advice.

Is your pedro surviving in ambient light, or are you using a grow light of some sort?
I'm not fond of grow lights for cacti...but if I were to use one, I'd pick a full spectrum light.

I am using two grow lights with an emphasis on the blue end of the spectrum.
