magnetic stirrer magnet

I was wondering if anyone new of a good source for a magnetic stirrer magnet aside from a hard drive as I dont have an extra hard drive sitting around. I'll order a magnet online if I have to but I would rather buy one in person or rip it out of something if possible.

Lots of good magnets around. You might find one in an old speaker, or if you don't mind buying one try an electronics surplus store. Even Radio Shack, maybe.

Thanks. I knew I could find one on ebay, I just thought there might be something handy laying around that I could rip one out of. I will check radio shack though. If all else fails, ebay it is.

Check to see if there is a computer repair place close to you, they will have SEVERAL dead drives you can have.

I tried a magnet at radio shack, no good, they will barely stick to the fridge. Dont waste your 5 bucks.

if yoiu go ebay make sure you get a rare earth magnet,,regular magnets wont do
