wife and i just watched the movie, Network. i highly recommend it to anyone that hasnt seen it in the 31 years since it was made.

it's on my list...
for some reason i'm reminded of They Live, another modern classic. could be considered cheesy but i think it's a parable for our times.

it had been on my list for a long time too. i'm glad i finally got to it. it is a great movie.

I wanted to see it for a while from the clips I've seen on the internet, so I may have downloaded it.  After I saw it I did a thing I rarely ever do and purchased it almost immediately.  Most others are rivaled in comparison.

Well if you really need more than the movie itself there are some decent features. You're usual stuff, but mostly of interest. There's also an interview with Lumet which I haven't really watched, but there's an interview with Chayefsky that's pretty fucking good (unfortunately it takes place on a daytime talk-show with questionable company). There's also a commentary track by Lumet that sounds to be good and I'm sure it has some great material in it but I didn't venture to far inward.

that's the special edition of course.

Funny, I JUST watched this movie this past weekend.  Great movie.
