What's the most blasphemous thing someone's ever said to you about drugs?

I can remember this one time in 9th grade I was standing outside and this girl was saying, matter-of-factly: "Weed's worse for you than beer. It kills more brain cells than beer."

I think I either kept quiet or just said "no it's not," but I didn't really protest it because I couldn't back myself up properly.

And there was also this time when a psycologist I never saw again asked me what book I was reading at the time (the subject of reading came up) and I said "Acid Dreams. It's about the history of LSD." And he said "You wanna fry your brain?"

becuase there's a ton of misinformation about it and people tend to judge you based on that misinformation.

Damn right there is. Nicely put. I hate how drugs are demonized so fiercly and that negativity is the first things that springs to mind when recreational drugs are mentioned.

I'm not disagreeing with you here but people are just set in there ways. They have been spoon feed a bunch of misinformation and there is not much we can do. Fuck them.

- and that other thing about potheads being just as bad as terrorist and would kill and terrorize to get their drugs.

blasphemy implies a statement made against something holy. and drugs/chemicals whatever are far from anything i would consider revered.

it's like talking shit about your neighbor's front lawn. everyone can have their own opinions, wrong or right. my opinion is fuck everybody, think what you like.

drugs are just so inanimate. not something worth defending.

Within the past year I've had two people tell me that mushrooms make your brain bleed. One of them was convinced that the reason you trip when you take drugs is because your brain is bleeding and causing brain damage.

Thats pretty much what I meant when I said there is no religion called Drugs. A chemical is a chemical. Some produce effects in your brain and most do not. Thats all they are, chemicals. No chemical is better or worse than any other chemical and a government certainly should not be telling me what chemicals I can and cannot have and or ingest. Nothing to defend and nothing to swear allegiances to. Just spread truthful information.

well i completely disagree. i've had wonderful and holy experiences on drugs. and plenty of people use it for spiritual and religious enlightenment. I've had some of my most profound realizations about love, life, friendship, nature and people on drugs. and when people tell you all these ridiculous lies and false facts about how bad it is for you or why people do it and how people do it, and downplay the experiences you've had it's more than just a difference of opinion. it turns into ignorance and insult. I will defend my drug use as long as i live because it's completely worth it. especially when i can be put in jail for sitting in my room and contemplating my life and existence.
