Ok Just sayin High guys, great site you have here, I have read many posts and got much info, thanks for that greatly.
Ok the above pics....among other persuits,I like to photograph shrooms, these pics aren't representative of my efforts, but I am wishing to perhaps get an ID on these.
They were found in New Zealand...the red ones I believe could be gymnopilus purpuratus? I have searched for info on these and there seems to be not much info...ie are they hallucinagenic and if so what doses are wise?
Now the yellow ones just look pretty, I don't expect an ID on those and don't expect they'd be hallucinagenic but who knows.
Now the other ones....I am wondering if they could be Paneolus cyanecens? They do bruise blue slightly, especially the small caps, or are they just inactive fungi? Any help would be much appreciated and thanks again for wonderful resource.

I believe all but the orange ones are different species of mycena, they are not active, the blueing in some is not related to any active compoud. A tip, as a rule, all material to be IDed should be at hunting forum.

Equater, Maia is correct. The orange red shroom is not psychoactive nor are the yellow coprinus. Sorry, ISn't the season all over now. DO you have the same weather conditions as Australia.

The weather has been horrible. Pretty much constant rain, quite cold.

Hey I'm in NZ as well. I've found those little ones with the blue rims before. I was thinking they could be conifer psilocybe (pelliucosa or something) but I never got round to properly identifying them or eating any. Did they have lots of bluing at the bottoms of the stems? I think those are the same as the ones I've been finding, its is unlikely that they are conifer psilocybe as I dont think that grows in NZ, and there are tons of those little things here. Were they in pine bark or under conifers? Thats where I see these all the time. Sorry I can't be of more help with an ID. You could try looking around at hiddenforest.co.nz it's a good NZ fungi site.
As for the season here, well here in the top of the south island the weather has been just right...chilly, occasional frosts, mostly sunny but with just enough rain to keep the shrooms poppin up. Its been great. And they are definatley still popping up, I found some subaeruginosa at an outdoor patch I know of just yesterday.
And to the guy with the pics (sorry, don't recally your screen name) the 'best' kind of magic mushroom here is known as 'gold tops' usually, they are Ps. Subaeruginosa or related species. They have white stems, caramel caps, bruise blue (actually bruise, not like those ones in your pics which are blue even before they're picked) purple / brown spore prints, and they grow on woodchip or logs. Look around here and there are some pics of subaeruginosa that various people have posted. Good luck!

Thanks for all replies, may the forrest be with you. Have been to hiddenforrest many times, thanx though, and yes, blue ones found in pine bark. I have found some very freakish type shrooms(actually miniture puff ball type things) size of peas but an amazing blue color...will get pics and post em up.

Do not eat them, they are not psychedelic, im not sure which genus or species, fresh specimens, info, and better pictures are needed.

Don't be a douche. It's really disrespectful to hold potential identifiers hostage by saying you're gonna eat them.

How are we supposed to tell what's in that shitty photo? Start your own thread and follow the ID request guideline so you don't end up on the 10 o'clock news as a 2013 Darwin Award candidate.
