I think that if you have droplets on the inside surfaces of your terrarium you should be fine. Your humidistat is probably just cheap.

Dude. Walmart and other places sell a temp/humidity unit for about $25.00 (Canadian) that is awesome. It's made by a company called BIONAIRE. I have two of them, one of them is just temp and has an external probe which is handy for substrates etc. The other one has both (displayed on the same screen) and it is accurate right up to 100%. It comes with double sided tape and I taped mine right to my terrarium and it works great.

Hey thanks; yeah, I just saw in the grow/find:humidity teks page that lots of dial type hygrometers (like mine) are shipped under spec. That sounds like the case here, even better that it's designed to be sensitive at like 50% humidity, which is comfortable for humans (it IS a room hygrometer), so I think I'm fine. Thanks for the info.
