Is ur ps2 hooked up to a VCR or directly to a TV. If it's through a VCR it's probably the DVD's copy protection.

Or the cord might not be plugged in all the way. Sounds moronic, I know, but sometimes the simplest things get us.

i think the cord is in, because it plays the usual movie dvd's. i tried it with another concert dvd and it was black & white too.

directly to a TV.
