Anyone here into the band Lightning Bolt? last night I listened to them non stop until I passed out. Would love to see em' live

They're an old grindcore band on Earache, aren't they? I have one of their songs on a compilation from around '88.

I remember listening to Lightning Bolt during my first mushroom adventure and wanting to go on a murderous rampage

It be so fucking amazing to see them live

YES!! my favorite band

Saw them live at 12 Galaxies in SF this April....AWESOME SHOW!!!

they started playing on the floor way off to the right of the stage, no more than a minute after the last opening band left the stage. Everyone was caught off gaurd but luckily I was pretty close. Because they play on the floor you can only see them if your real close. I was so close for a while, the crowd is just insane. People were knocking over the drummers cymbals and stepping on the bass cable making it come unplugged. its not your regular kind of pit though. everyone is super close packed in. I couldnt even breathe. The whole crowd kind of moves as one, leaning left, right, forward, or back.

After like 30 minutes, my ribs were killing me and probably bruised, from being pressed from all sides by hundreds of people. I also felt like I was going to throw up because it was so hot and I couldnt breath because I felt like I was just breathing stale/sweaty air.

All in all, one of the best experiences of my life.

Check their site, they may still be on tour.

I saw them not too long ago, it was fucking incredible. I've been waiting 3-4 years to see them and when I finally did it was spiritual :fairy:
