Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time Series

Guys- I am about halfway through the second book of this series now, and it is GREAT! The only other fantasy I have read before is Dragonlance (and of course Tolkien's work), but Robert Jordan is just supreme. He really gets into the minds of his characters, and his world just seems to come alive when I read! Has anyone else read any of his work? I definitely recommend it for those of you who like the fantasy genre!

I ABSOLUTELY love that series. I own every book *nerdy grin*. 9 Books so far, he's planning on writing 12!!! Each one tops 700pgs. It gets huger, and huger, and huger. It's like a fantasy, magic using, sword swinging soap opera. Keep reading, and don't forget to look in the glossary in the back for pronunciations. Nynaeve. Everyone messes that pronunciation at first. NIGH-NEEVE.

Robert Jordan is a badass author! He paints the most realistic pictures in my mind, better than any other fantasy author I have read. I read one of the book from the wheel of time series a few years ago.. I think it was the first one? But yeah, I especially loved his work with the Conan books. He is an amazing fantasy writer.

His Conan stuff was great! It's too bad he didn't make them longer and expanded them like the Wheel of Time. That would've been AWEsome.

Haha, I was actually pronouncing Nynaeve correctly in my head! The one that got me was Aes Sedai... I always just said "AYES SAIDAYE" in my head but if I remember correctly, the glossary said something completely different. Isn't it weird how we actually pronounce things in our head while we read??? I dunno, I just think it's odd BTW- A friend of mine let me borrow the first two books, and I finished them within a week. Now I have to wait until I see my friend again to get the third through the seventh!!! The wait is killing me! Haha
