    #4480665 - 08/01/05 01:30 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Robert Plant will hit the UK & Ireland this October for a hugely-anticipated series of live dates, soundgenerator can reveal.

The 56-year-old Led Zeppelin legend has spend a busy year on the promotional trail for his latest solo set 'Mighty Rearranger' [review: Robert Plant: Mighty Rearranger], putting in a solid show at this year's SXSW festival before lining up an exhaustive U.S. tour. Plant and his band, the Strange Sensation continue their touring throughtout the summer months, across North America, before heading over to the UK for the V and Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Then, following yet more North American dates, the band will satify the appitite of fans in the UK and Ireland with dates in late October and December.

The tour schedule looks like this:

October 2005

27 - Edinburgh Corn Exchange
29 - Glasgow Barrowlands

4 - Hammersmith Palais
9 - Dublin Olympia
12 - Wolverhampton Civic Hall

Got my Glasgow tickets, saw thim in 2002 or 3 cant remember in the same venue and i was blown away, his Mighty Rearranger albums worth a listen, infact its brilliant if you ask me.

I saw him live a week or two ago. It was great! Like Skullette_Gore said, he's still singing well, even at his age. They played a lot of Led Zeppelin covers, which were pretty good.

If you're expecting to hear a perfectly-mimicked Led Zeppelin sound, though, you'd be missing the point. It's a new bad, so a new sound, just with Robert Plant as some continuity. They have a stronger drumming-style influence. It's really quite nice, actually.

Great concert!
