I donated blood today...

...and I did the double-red thing. For all of you that are not familiar with this practice: they take whole blood, as they usually do in a normal blood donation, but then they have a special machine hooked up to it that seperates the red blood cells with the plasma--right there. After the first pint has been taken, it seperates, and then they shoot your plasma, along with some saline to rehydrate you, back into your arm. Following this, after it's all circulated in your blood, they take another pint of whole blood and the cycle repeats once again.

Anyway, I did this today, and it's pretty cool. Also, you get a really cool body-tingly-high from doing it. I'd definetly suggest it to anyone that donates regularily. I was in a SUPER-good mood after donating today.

Tingly body high is what you call it? I prefer dizzy and listless, but that works too. :laugh:

I haven't donated blood in a while, which reminds me, they've got a platelet drive going on at the blood center.  I can't remember if they reject the blood based on drug usage, though.  I don't want them taking a bunch of blood out of my arm only to find out they're just going to throw it away.

Fuck that.  Don't throw my blood away.  I like my blood.  If you aren't going to use it, give it back to me, i'll find a use for it.  Like, I don't know, sell it to vampire LARPers or something.  Either that, or see if there's a way I can extract pure THC from my blood. :laugh:
