Yeah the Seventh Seal is a classic but I always preferred The Silence...

Although, Fellini's film, "8 1/2," is quite different from Bergman's, "The Seventh Seal" -- both in it's scope and subject matter -- I have, however, always felt that the clown band at the end of the film (see above YouTube video) was somehow fashioned after the danse macabre scene at the end of the Bergman's, "The Seventh Seal."

I find a certain visual and symbolic resonance between the two scenes...
