I miss 'em. Tucson is my home town.

Good to hear the monsoons are still coming. What would summer or Tucson as a whole be without them?

Hey I used to live in Phoenix I saw 8 seasons of those puppies!!! Iused to sit on my porch with my gf and dog smokin a joint and enjoying natures pyrotechnic show.  Do you go to Rocky Point?  Fuck i miss Mejico!!!!  arribba!!!!!!  Mas tequila AAAAIIII  AAAAAIIII:banana::burnone::bouncysmoke:

im pretty sure that southern az residents as a whole look forward to the wet season. the lightning, the wind, the sunsets, the torrential downpour... the smell of the desert after a hard rain is hard to duplicate. it brings a certain energy behind it...  its weird. but not really...

i have yet to do it, but i plan on eating a healthy dose of mushrooms during one of our lightning storms one of these days. maybe play some golf on the roof while im at it :grin:

im sure it would be quite the experience...

The article makes a good point, there are lots of smells after the rain. But there's something about that combo of creosote, tire rubber, gasoline, asphault, your own sweat, Sonoran dirt. Of course it's a bit different out of town a bit, lone desert. Nothing says home to me quite like that the city/desert combo monsoon air.

after i woke up from the thunder, the first thing i did was walk out to my back yard and post up in a chair under our little porch thing. i sat back and watched the sky light up for about 45 minutes before i went back to bed.

lightning fucking amazes me. ill sit out there watching the sky, stagetically panning my view across the horizon in search of every single flash i can get my grubby little eyeballs on.

if i had a camera that was worth a shit, i would have tried taking pictures of it. i have never been very good at capturing the lightning on the cameras. but thats cool though, because instead of trying to take pics of it all night, i had the time to actually sit and enjoy it.

sometime this year i really seriously want to trip out durring one of these. the shear power and force at work during one of these would add quite nicely to a psychedelic voyage, me thinks.

ya, this years storms so far have mostly been teasers of such. the skys been getting all dark and sinister  pretty much every day now for a week. but its mostly all been show, no real rain or lightning.

last nights was our first real surge so far. heres hoping for the nastiest weather god can bring, i love this shit! :grin:
