When inoculating, do you bring a radio?
    #7162498 -

When I inoculate, it's a tradition to bring in the little alarm clock radio into the john where I Inoculate. Only after cleaning everything with bleach, closing vents, spraying Lysol and bleach and waiting 30 Min's or so for everything to settle. LOL...I'm a worry wort, but get very few, if ever contam jars. Anyway, point was...do you get bored sitting in there for so long doing like 50 jars for 2 hours, you gotta have music? What do you guys listen too? LOL...I like classical although I'm a techno DJ. I do classical when I inoculate. Perhaps I feel eccentric and special.. LOL...L8R

I watch tv... well, listen to it at least. I just rock it in a bedroom or living room usually. Every room of my house has a hepa air filter. Not just for the magic... it helps my wife breathe better. I also do it in the glovebox for sterility puposes. Usually there's cops or law and order on the tv while I do it. lol, ironic but you have to admit those are damn good shows! That's about it for my tradition.

Err, yeah.

L8R.

Not sure how this relates to anything practical. Take it to #cultivation, or #shroomery instead?

Totally, Classic is the way to go. I would recommend Aria Variations by Bach. You remember? The song he eats the cops tongue to with his pulse never rising above 85? Silence of the lambs....anyway...one too many beers tonight, but I gotta pass the time while my babies blossom. L8r all...

Man, glad I read this. It's totally expanded my understanding of mushroom cultivation.

Hey, do you guys wear black socks when you inoculate? Yeah, it's really interesting.

I don't wait. I just spray lysol and do my work quickly. Then, I spray some more on the jars before I close the box and finish my work. No contams in my cultivation past. Saves time

:crazy2:Probably because that sort of question should be asked in a different forum, lets say hmmmmm at the very least THE PUB or MUSIC ART and LITERATURE.  Now if this all led to the idea that Mycelium responds differently to different sound frequencies and actually promoted faster growth rates or that bacteria and mold did not fair well while Vivaldi was being played in the background, then this would be the right forum!:crazy2:

idk about you but i LOVE this thread.

plus i heard plants benefit from talking to them. if you water them then talk to the plant kindly and it's supposed to affect it. and also music was supposed to promote growth. wonder if this applies to shroomies too.
