would it work?

Does this sound like it would work?

Im going to take the bottoms of some pan subbs I found in backyard and put them in wet cardboard.

Im going to let the cardboard with the bottoms of the pan subbs sit for a day or two.

Then once mycelium has grown I am going to take the cardboard and put it into a sterile tupperware container with dirt or grass or popcorn kernels (what would work better than these?)

Im going to put a thin layer of what ever I have in the container ontop of the cardboard and wet it daily. And scrap sporeprints for the same pan subbs into the mycelium.

Does this sound probible?
Would dirt be sterile?
Should I leave the container open?
Any tips are appreciated.
This may be an extremly ridiculous idea and ill look like a complete idiot, but I was thinking and I thought there was a chance it would work but I wanted to ask here first.

You could take a cutting put it in an LC and clone it though.(correct me if wrong.)

Sound fine in theory. But sterile soil couldn't be as good as pasteurized. And if you wanted to go simple, soak your colonized
cardboard in a diluted h2o/h2o2 solution. Then rip up and apply to pasteurized coco coir(bedda beast). Basically you are spawning cardboard to coir.
The container has to supply plenty of oxygen so as not bring on white mold and so as not to ferment your myc.
And as far as seeming ridiculous, always explore and experiment. This is how we find things out. Try every thing you can think up. Regardless of other peoples arrogant rants. So times these people will lead you right but also stop you from coming up with anything new.
