got my van towed yesterday

It was 80 bucks and took me several hours to get it back. I hate when I do stupid things like that. I haven't been towed since 1983 and go downtown on a semi regular basis. Next time I'm going to the restaurant on the north side.

80 bucks isn't too bad. my roommate got towed last weekend, cost him 190 bucks. fucking ridiculous. especially considering the circumstances behind it.

see, where we work there's a 2 sectioned gravel parking lot, except it's rather unclear that there are sections, and we're never really told that we're not supposed to park in one section. the fact that we often do park in that section without problem further adds to the confusion. but he parked there, we went into our workplace and got some drinks, then walked to a show, then an afterparty. we parked there at like 11:30pm, when we got back at 2:30am, the car was gone. it was thoroughly confusing because he was drunk, and i was somewhat buzzed. the parking lot isn't even the kind of place cops patrol and it was empty other than one car (which was still there when we got back), so that means someone was a total fucking cunt and called the tow place on their own accord - and it was probably the owner of the car that wasn't towed.

sorry for the threadjack, but at least you didn't have to pay nearly as much as my roommate, so i figured that might make you feel slightly better.
