as long as they have not gone bad , you should be able to tell , dry them and eat them they are usally pretty potent.

That was probably my biggest problem when I first started growing. Pretty soon you will learn the best time to pick. Like soulsearcher said, they are prob. aborts and need to be picked. They definitley should be saved. They can be very potent and will add up to a sizeable amount after time. If they begin to get waterlogged, then it is definitley time to pick.
