Black Caps poison?

I am have not, and still do not notice any contamination on any of my projects but in one compartment I notice there are multiple mushrooms with what look to be blackish/discolored caps. The rest of the fruitbody looks fine though so I was wondering what this could be.. and if I need to throw them all away.

It could be spores. Sometimes the entire cap of a mushroom will turn black and be covered by spores. Do you have a way to get a picture?
Edit: Caps covered with spores aren't poisonous, but post a picture first if you can so you don't die.

Yes it sounds like they may be covered in spores When I have alot of shrooms in a tight space and they open caps. I almost always get caps covered in spores. They look almost black

well the only thing about that is that none of the surrounding caps have
opened. So I don't think theyre spores. Also not aborts because one of the fruits is well over 6 inches and continuing but it has a blackish cap too.

Mine get almost no light at all, at least not nearly enough to cause a discoloration.

I think some strains have darkening caps. Maybe yours is one of them.

A picture says a thousand words man. Could be a number of things but with only words to show us I don't think your gonna be able to get a definitive answer.

The spores float from the gills to the top of the same cap.

Could be bruising you could of touched it and not have noticed it or it could have touched something else. Its happend to me before a couple of times there probably ok to eat though i cant say that for sure. If you had a pic that would really help.

Sorry if I had a digital Camera I would, or if my webcam wasn't broke. I know a picture is worth a thousand words I just needed to at least verbally try and explain what was happening so I could make a desicion to throw them away or not... still not sure.

Well what color should the inside of a fresh healthy fruit be? (Inside of the stalk material)

I guess I will pick the ones then that are turning blackish, They sur don't seem like aborts since theyre growing exactly at the rate or normal mushrooms cept turning blackish caps. And I was under the impression that contamed myc would produce nasty lookin fruits....

If the "blackness" is caused by spores, then you should be able to scrape some of it off and reveal the normal shroom colours underneath (I find this to be true with wet & dry shrooms).
If you can't scrape it off then IMO it's not likely to be caused by spores.
