Anybody know the name of this trippy music video? It would make my day!

I saw it on MTV/VH1 while I was in high school and it really blew my mind and was probably an influence on my getting into things relating to this community. I would love to be able to relive seeing this video as I am sure it would stir something up. I am slowly remembering tiny details and I will convey as clearly as possible what I remember right now.


The video was stop motion animation done with puppets that could have been clay, but seem very dirty and rough, not smooth. The puppets were very human like, but with less details so they looked somewhat mutated. The setting is a run down polluted depressingly rotted urban maze. At some point, one of the puppets looks through this spinning wheel of color and all of a sudden his whole world transforms from a into this spectacular, clean, and vivid utopia with colors and good vibes everywhere. I am almost positive, several years after the last time I saw this video, that it was meant to portray the effects of LSD. The style of the animation was somewhat like the Tool - Vicarious video but with way more out door scenes and of course a turning point where the style changes to the opposite of that tool video. I am unsure right now of the band or song title. I think it was some kind of rock, possibly something that might sound like tool, cold play, and incubus wrapped into one. This particular song was very mellow and kind of depressing in the beginning but slightly uplifting towards the end.

Got any idea on the year? Almost reminds me of "Sowing the seeds of Love" but that was awhile back.

I think it was either in 2000 or 2001. Sowing the seed of love is not really close to the video I was looking for. It has some very trippy visual effects which mimic LSD as it appears to your eyes. The video I want shows how LSD can change the way you feel or think about the world. The song is much more of a downer than seeds of love, which is a really happy song imo.

I asked my best friend and as should usually be the case our collective memory was flawless when it came to something that really mattered. The video I was looking for was Kenna - Hell Bent. I think this should be required viewing for everybody in the western hemisphere. It is slightly different than I remember it. Enjoy!
