newbie mushroom hunter in california

hey all i just started mushroom hunting a month ago and have found some perculury specimens. i dont have a digital camera and my scanners not working at the moment so i will describe it in the best of my power. the cap looks like the top half of a egg and is about half an inch wide the color is light brown almost white with a brown spot on the tip.the gills go upward and are not atched to the stem they are a light brow and dark brown. the stem is about 3 inches and has a redish brown color. the spore print is black and showed up very quickly after about 15 to 20 mins. the cap has nit bruised brown yet it has been about 40 minutes since ive had it, so if any can help it will be deeply apreciated

Whats up acidskater. This is flanders from Overgrow. Glad to see you on these boards. I'm not sure what kind of shrooms you may've found, do some searching online and you'll probably find a match. Are you in northern or southern CA? Good luck hunting man, happy trips.

im in southern california and i found 3 more specimens i found a bunch that are whiteish brownish and the cap closes up where the gills are so you have to rip it to see in also found what looked like a liberty cap but is more a a triangle shape and is very sticky and last i found a brown mushroom that has a almost plat cap and has dark brown gills that come out of the cap
