Why the fuck won't anyone hire me?

Seriously! It's infuriating. Every place I apply says the same shit. They promise to call, they don't call, I end up calling, then when I do they're not hiring. I know it's not that I lack qualification. I have good work experiance, I interview well, I don't come in reeking like reefer smoke.

What am I doing wrong? Why does no one seem to want to employ my services? It all just tells me that I should stick with what I know, selling herb. Anyway, I just wanted to rant, if anyone has tips for getting a job feel free to let me know because I would really appreciate it.

I think its just one of those periods where job opportunities are no longer in abundance. I am dying to leave my current job, but there are no other positions for me to take. I'm resorting to sending my resume to companies who aren't even advertising open positions, just so I have some chance to get the few jobs that do come available. :/

when you turn in applications, do you give them to employees or managers? i find that if you ask to see a manager and ask him if they are hiring out not, then hand him the application that you have a good shot.

ive never had a problem landing jobs.

Not at all. I have moderately long hair, but nothing extreme. I'm clean and clean shaven, I wear nice polo shirts when I put in applications and get interviewed.

I've had problems getting a job even when my hair was cut super short. Prospective bosses can just feel it on me.

No matter how straight I try to be, they always know I'm a head. What can ya do? Other than try to be the best at what you do. You're just in a temporary rough patch, man. The economy sucks. Keep after it and don't let'em get ya down. People are hungry out there.

no matter what the job is, you always score +10 for coming in in either a suit or at least a nice pair of freshly pressed slacks and a button down shirt and tie. Believe me, it's interviewing 101 stuff and it WORKS.

It's probably just a string of bad luck. I've given interviews even after we've hired someone, just because we already said they could come in for an interview. Not much you can do but keep applying, and follow up.

What kind of jobs are you applying for and what are your qualifications? Are you shooting too high or too low? Over and under qualification can be a problem.

could be because your a guy. seriously, i dont hire males.. nothing but females work under me.. and they have to either be extremely qualified (and then you cant say no) or have a nice set of tits.

here in the desert it is hard to get a job in the summer, had a meeting with a place today, supposed to talk to an owner next week.

if your not a dip shit then the places are not hiring, personally i've found it is all about timing.

dont ask for a job like you asked your prom date for a job. Demand it. Walk in there like it is your first day on the job and you have to meet everyone.
Most people dont understand that it isnt always one persons decision to hire someone. here at my venue, the waitresses make really good money.... when someone walks in and asks for an application, they are already hired or have no chance at all.
Act like every single person working there is the person interviewing you.
