Pans labyrinth

anybody seen it? i saw it today. it was a trip, i didn't really understand the ending, i didn't know if she made it up in her head or it was real. and the Spanish was a bitch.

yeah thats a really good way to put it, i thought it was kinda sad they that guy was such an as hole and just killed anyone who didn't sit on the toilet the way he wanted them to.

I downloaded it and was about to watch it often......finally, tomorrow, my GF and I will finally be giving it a spin.

I've got some great weed and some opie-O's.

Both of which were important prerequisites. :smirk:

i think this movie could really mess with someones head under the influence. if i was on a couple o' hits of some good Lucy, there is no telling what kind of effect that movie would have had on me. but i don't think bud or opium would affect the ambiance. might be hard to follow tho. its in Spanish with English subtitles, i cant imagine someone Reading that on acid or even weed, i would just say fuck it and watch another movie. :tongue:

Such a good film on several levels. Its been a little while since I last saw it, but I remember at the time being really struck by the religious kind of themes of the film. The girl speaks to figures that operate on a different plane, is tested and challenged and ultimately loses her life here only to receive reward in an afterlife. Its a parable of sorts.

See, I agree completely with that. The movie has depth, a sort of complexity that is rare in modern film... But fuck, I could not stand the presentation. Maybe it was the hype, but on an aesthetic level, the whole movie just frustrated me.
