They don't concern themselves with our stupid human shit. As far as they're concerned, a house is there to stand and shit on. Cars however.. they are simply aware that it's a fast moving thing which could potentially kill them, so they tend to be aware of them and run away if it appears to be coming towards them or chasing them. I doubt they think "what's that!?".

I don't think they think anything particular of humans. I would imagine they think of us in the similar fashion they think of other animals/objects/etc. No idea on how they would actually think in general though, so that would have to figured out before the specific question of humans could be answered.

I personally think (no pun intended) that what we call instincts are basically thoughts not associated to written/verbal language. I think we still think like dogs think sometimes, we just don't realize it when we do.

Do they think is the proper question to ask...or at least do they "think" in the way we normally think of as "thinking" :wink:

I think the answer is no to the latter, and maybe to the former. Animals (at least the larger mammals) appear to have their own "will" and do what they want...and that leads me to believe they have something going on up there other than just "get food...sleep...fuck".

Animals certainly don't think like humans though, because they would have to be raised as a human to have any hope of it. Feral children are an example of this happening in reverse - humans that are raised by animals from a very young age take on the mannerisms of whatever animal they are raised by (usually dogs, I think).
