Biscuits for Animals
    #3633539 - 01/16/05 12:59 AM (11 years, 10 months ago)

Would it be wrong to feed a dog or cat small amounts of a marijuana biscuit, if they felt the psychoactive effects?
You may choose only one
I do it all the time! Makes them into little furry mystics I tell you
Perhaps in moderation, if you started very small, it'd be OK
That's horrible and you should be put to death for animal abuse! *angry face*

ingesting marijuana orally is not harmful. the smoke is what's harmful.

I've fed my cat about a fifth of a real potent bud brownie I had, half of one would get you pretty stoned, so it probably flipped my cat upside down. About an hour later we were both just laying around staring into nothingness. No harm in a little THC now and then, even for the rest of the animal kingdom

I believe animals have a sense as to what to eat and what not to eat. So if he eats it of his own free will then thats cool, not like he's going to die. Purposely blowing the smoke into his face though, NO.

Are you supposed to feed cats chocolate? I've never had one, but with dogs I know that you're never supposed to give them chocolate, for some reason that I can't remember, I believe it was tapeworms or some internal problem like that.

I've never given my dog any marijuana food, though I've often thought of it. He loves food, and he loves sleeping, and he loves being nice and loving around people, so I've often though that he would respond very well to a small dose of bread or sugar cookies made with cannabutter. I doubt he'd notice much was up, before he was heavily heavily tranquilized after going to the vet, as he had to get something or another done, and he STILL didn't know anything was up. He tried to get up and go on walks yet he couldn't even stand without collapsing. Compared to that I don't think he'd even suspect anything other than being in a spacey good mood if he was stoned.

Perhaps a fifth of a dose of cannabread and then taking him on a walk to the woods wouldn't be too bad, just wondering on others opinions and experiences with this. Most people whose animals eat pot, it's because the animals got into their stash and ate all of it, which is of course a major overdose for even a human if its any respectable stash.

I've been told that weed is harmful to dogs when eaten. It's probably just a myth but I figured it was worth mentioning if only to be debunked

I had a cat die from eating antifreeze. before you all pipe in with "well it was a stupid cat" I'm here to say it happens all the time, apparently antifreeze tastes just like Koolaid or some shit. (and yes, she ate the antifreeze of her own free will)

I don't think their simple minds need more than a pat on the head and a "good boy" now and then.Cats and dogs lie around, lazy and sleeping, pretty well on their own, without dosing them.On the other hand, this guy I knew had a BIG mutt that Loved Maddog 20/20...He'd drink almost a pint out of his bowl, then go Violent nuts for an hour or two, bitin', growlin', spinnin' around, until he passed out. :confused:Not sure if he liked it or not.

i know people that drink and go bitin and spinnin around. they seem to have a good time....one never knows. and i think the chocolate has something to do with caffine and heart problems.

i know that dogs break down marijuan alot differnet than humans,
for instance if you fed a dog a half of gram of pot it would be more fucked up it you fed a human an eighth of pot. the dogs metabolism breaks it down in a different way allowing it to get more fucked up. i forget where i read this, but i believe it to be true.
