hard coming to terms with one's own shortcomings....

fucked up a physics exam didn't I....

so close to the grade I needed to secure me an undergraduate place at cambridge university

but i'm not a 'natural' at maths...

I can't apply mathematical knowledge to new situations

its clear that my genetics dictate that art and modern languages are my strongpoint

really disappointed with myself...

If I can get into the bio major program (now in chemistry) anyone can dude.

Ambition easily supercedes any genetic excuse.  Your genes very well may be restricting you, but don't chalk it up as an acceptable excuse to pawn your shortcomings off on.  Sorry to be an ass.  :shrug:
