I just went to the local farm and gathered some wonderful bags of hpoo.
now, this is my first adventure into using horse poo. I've heard it's one of the best to use so I will give it a try!
can't wait
i have FIVE 3 pound bags of spawn to work with
that would equal out to bout 75 half pint jars,
so I'm thinking i need to find some of the biggest Tupperware containers i can find.
wonder how many i will need?
5?
anyways,
by the pic, can anyone tell me if I'm up for some trouble?
i seen a guide , the simple poo guide, but that says it will take months!!
this stuff really has no smell, is that good?
i mean can i just pick out all the leaves and sticks and just pasteurize it and get going?
please tell me yes, please please!
this is gonna be a pretty big grow, i should keep a journal for you interested shroomers!
help me out everyone let me know something bout this horse poo. does it look good? bad? i have no idea, but this should be FUN!

right. no smell is ideal. you'll want to lay it all out on a tarp somewhere outside and let it all dry out. dont forget to pasteurize it before you use it.
what are you going to use for spawn?

what's your spawn? if it was fresh poo then you will need to let it sit in the sun to leach the ammonia but if it looked old and weathered then there is no need to do that. I reccomend loading them in your PC with quart jars, stick a meat thermometer strait in the poo and wait till you get the right temp (150 degrees or so) then keep that heat for a n hour or two to pasterize.

If it has no smell (and by the look of it, it's pretty old), you won't need months...just pasteurizing it will do.

My last trip to the farm yielded about 200lb, dry. I think perhaps I won't be going again for a while

hell yea , yall have made my day, i will be picking through it today,
so basically, i can have a bulk substrate ready in about 3 hours,
cuz my spawn bag is PAST ready, it's whiter then snow and hard as a brick!
and the other ones are catching up
also, i don't have a pressure cooker so is it best just to buy some casing soil off a sponsor?
