those thermometers/hygrometers from walmart dont work.
after a little while the rH is too much and waterlogs the circuit boards.

go to the pet section and get ya self a few lil glass fish tank thermometers. They usually come with little suction cups that hold them to the side of most plastic containers.

Im still trying to work out how to monitor high (>85%) humidity

If there is moisture on the inside walls of your terrarium then the humidity is usually over 90%.
