i found these growing in my neighbors lawn. it has been hot and humid the past week with plenty of rain. I live in southeastern Pennsylvania

the spore prints came out as a dark brown almost black color.

the stems are almost strawlike. no significant bruising.

the gills are a dark brown. and the tops are a darker brown at the nipple and become lighter towards the ring. there is some white.

earthy mushroom smell.

Possibly Panaeolus foeniseii?

Anyone want to expand/dispell my myth?

These are Paneolina foenisecii.

I have come to this conclusion because the fragile and curved stems, brown gills and brown spore print color are indicative of Paneolina.

I believe your spore color is correct and that you have a lawn mower's mushroom.
