Collaborative online drawing program/site (anybody know one?)
    #6996541 -

Something where several people can connect and draw a big picture together? I used to know a couple and thought it was something the Shroomery would enjoy but I can't find a good one. I think simplicity would be key. The one I'm thinking of only had one pen size and about 16 colors which sort of made it so everybody had a similar drawing style and people couldn't fuck it up by clearing the page.

Here's an example but I think it has too many options, since everybody has a different drawing style the picture wouldn't look right in the the end

if you have Photoshop or Illustrator (or any other digital drawing program), you can join in on a thread I made in MA&L ... it's kind of hard to get people to really take the time to collaborate, but when it happens, it's gold.

It's from "Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge" the game that came before Curse of Monkey Island and after The Secret of Monkey Island. Curse of Monkey Island is a great game (definitely in my top 10) but the creator of the series wasn't involved in making it. You should check out the originals you can find them for free on most abandonware sites and they're the most humorous games I know.

Sam & Max Hit the Road and Day of the Tentacle are two other games by the same company that are really good too. (Konnrade has Max from Sam & Max as his avatar)

whoops I totally meant The Secret of Monkey Island ... I actually never got to the second or third game, because I never beat the first!

shit, I gotta find me another copy of that ... !  think it'll work on Windows XP if I can find a copy?

and yea, I remember seeing previews for Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max ... I should check those out, too.

wasn't Grim Fandango from the same creators?  that game was pretty neat, as well.  man, old games were the best.

It's a shame that 2D adventures can't turn a profit anymore :nonono:

Grim Fandango did 3D Adventure right though.

Star Wars games killed Lucasarts.  :crankey:

Fortunately there's a really active scene for freeware 2D Point and Click games:
http://www.bigbluecup.com/

Some of the games there are TOP QUALITY, 10 years ago they would have sold thousands of copies.

Cedric and the Revolution
Duty and Beyond
Spooks
Knightsquire
Apprentice
The Trials of Odysseus Kent
Emily Enough

And that barely even scrapes the surface of the community.
