Bulging Vein In Arm
    #6987320 -

i have a vein in my right arm, on top, near the wrist, that is bulging. my other arm looks fine but this one is kindof sticking out of the skin. it doesn't hurt and has been like this for the last couple of weeks.

i just put on about 15 pounds but im working to lose it. i started eating healthy again and i started to get cardiovascular exercise in. i haven't gotton much cardiovascular exercise in about 4-5 years. this is my only health problem. im 5' 11" and weigh 185. i am kindof built and have a physical job.,

what could it be?

I'd say it was a vein in your right arm, on top, near the wrist, that is bulging.

What ELSE could it be apart from that?

it's only in one arm though, and it's only in a little section. it kindof sticks out from the skin.

here's a picture(please excuss the hair)...

but why would it only be like that only in one arm?

this also comes and comes by the hour. it seems to go away if i elevate my arm.

Just looking and my hands and forearms, my veins aren't really symmetrical. Blood pressure in your blood vessels can change along with your physical condition and body position.

I really wouldn't worry about this.

totally normal, in the world of workout, we call them "earthworms," and desired by some.

personally, they just make me think of how much worse a papercut would be.

Unless your blood pressure is absolutely fucked or your cholesterol is in shambles, you're absolutely fine!

I'm getting more vascular by the day. It's cool. But get a blood test and monitor your pressure for a week or two to quell your concerns. You might as well, considering how you're already wondering about that renegade vein. It's good to know where you stand.

That is a good sign (unless like browndustin said, your chlestoral is high). the vein means that your cardiovascular system is getting worked. It's considered a sign of fitness. I have veins in my shoulders, forearms, biceps, calfs, and one right above my pubes (i know, its weird). I run a lot too and have very low blood pressure. You should be proud of your vein!
