Discipline is trippy as hell, I love the way the guitar tracks seem to fall in and out of synch with each other as the track goes on.

I've only heard "In The Court of the Crimson King", but I've loved that CD since I was in 9th grade.  they truly are the original, and best, prog rock, as well as the source of Mars Volta's influence.

Ar huh!

I only just started listening to them recently, after hearing old guys talking about them for years when I hung around on Harmony Central.

I got into them after I heard Adrian Belew playing an opening solo to Muffin Man while Zappa was picking his guitar up. It was absolutely sick! Then Zappa starts playing and continues the solo. Zappa's being great and shaking hands with the audience and messing around for a lot of the track.

I've also been listening to 'buckethead - jordan & for mom', 'primus - greet the sacred cow, winona's beaver and defy the laws of tradition' and 'explosions in the sky - first breath after a coma & san pedro' quite a lot recently if you want to do some search wandering via the tube, although the jury's still out on EITS as I've only heard the tracks a few times
