MySpace is the beginning of the Apocolypse. Mark my words...

I thought the whole idea was to NOT instantly give your identity away to everyone on here. I guess I was wrong.

If your not doing anything wrong, what are you scared of?

In my opinion, the idea is to not give your personal information away to anyone over the internet unwittingly period. MySpace goes completely against that theory. And they wonder why there are so many cases of identity theft and perverts getting busted on Dateline. We, as society, are bringing it upon ourselves.

We're headed in an ugly direction.

Hey man, as long as you don't give out a social or bank account, how can they steal ANYTHING from you? And as far as dateline busting perverts, I'm all for it!
Like I said, I'm a family man these days. And I will be one for the rest of my life. Sure I have some great stories but it was all in the past.

Dr., your either up to something, which doesn't right away mean it's wrong, or you are paranoid. Period.

WTF?!?!

I'm just speaking hypothetically. I used to be on it, then it played an unnecessary part in my relationship and it's demise. It's then I actually saw the benefits from being in that network.... none in my opinion. I think it's sad to look at some of those pages and see how much personal information is given...birthdate, friends, schools, work history, etc... if someone were to obtain a social security # or bank account for someone, it would be quite easy for them to pass themselves off as them based on the knowledge presented on there.

Bottom line, I don't want strangers or acquaintances knowing that much information about me. Plain and simple. Is there really something wrong with keeping an element of mystery about oneself? Why are we so willing nowadays to throw it all on the table?

Man, it's all good really. I didn't see the part about your not using drugs until after my first post. If you're comfortable with putting that out there then that's all that matters, right?

I just wouldn't expect to see a lot of other people volunteering their myspace profiles, that's all.

For someone to be on one site with cultivation pictures and then turn around and give out a myspace, would be stupid. I was just saying that I have nothing to hide, and that I give a  to Dateline for what their doing.

I understand what you are saying about if someone finds bank info and a social elsewhere, the myspace info is all they need to steal your identity or money. I totally agree.
As far as your personal network goes, thats you. I have alot of friends that I talk to on there. I also use it to push my opinions on things without actually thumping. (look at my blogs and videos.)
In that sense, I enjoy myspace. But thats only because I have an awsome network. Not everyone knows people on there and not everyone is into the idea of myspace period.
Believe me, I understand what you are saying man.
