Is there a simple guide that shows the complete beginner how to start a website? Preferably something with pictures (diagrams).

get dreamweaver, read any general html faq, and yer blazin. out of all the prog. langs. out there html is by far the easiest to get a hold of. btw if you didnt know dreamweaver is a prog. that simplifys it even more, providing you with a shit load of buttons instead of memorizing all the code.

definately download dreamweaver. after that, google free website templates, and then customize them with dreamweaver. the good thing about free website templates is that u can choose from hundreds of them, and they make you look professional. just customize them with dreamweaver and add the content that u wish. the template will provide with the style n shit. good luck

tis the ghetto way, but works and is a good way to start learning.

Thanks guys. Guess I have some research/experimenting to do. Chances are I'll probably just end up hiring somebody to do it, but I'm really picky so I'm gonna need to brush up on some stuff so I can figure out how to customize everything.
