random thoughts fit only for the shroomery

understand this is coming from a cat who lives in the burbs of an east coast city. daily life is frustrating and expensive. everyone i know is quite brainwashed and into some serious commercial living - whether through music, cinema or art. i don't know any hippies, theyre all hiphop kids or mtv/bet generation peoples. i was working at my government job today (we have very little option otherwise due to where i live, take a wild guess...) when all of a sudden, it dawned on me like a ton of bricks:

ive been looking forward to bonnaroo all year. i've actually been looking forward to going back since i stepped out of my vehicle onto the bonnaroo property for the first time last year. it was my first festival ever.

but what i really wanna do is fall in love with a beautiful hippy girl who likes both lynard skynard and madlib - and not just because her last boyfriend turned her onto them.

i wanna run away with her to the country to grow mushrooms, smoke grass with all day and go on tour. to listen to the grateful dead one minute and digable planets the next.

to share a positive outlook on life.
to love and be happy and free.
to not have to worry about being late for an 8 hour gig working for some corporation or government.
to hold hands with a run through fields.
to laugh all day long with her and smile until my face hurts.
to wake up each morning and think "wow, this truly is a beautiful world we live in" instead of waking up and thinking of turmoil and pain and suffering that exists all around us.
to never have to watch television or hear someone ask if i watched heroes or american idol.
to escape.

a near impossible feat to happen i'm sure. anyone got a genie lamp they wanna get rid of?

That's my personal opinion, obviously. They might be your thing, but they're definitely not mine. They are more annoying, to me, than pretty much any stereotype kinda girl I can think of.

if there was ever a hippy girl that was actually worthwhile she went out with the 60's :shrug:

"hippy girl" defines a pretty tight stereotype these days though.  good luck nonetheless, we're all in this together.
