Re: Zero Point Energy [Re: buddhahoodlum]

but since Thomas Edison figured out it would'nt make him nearly enough money to fill his fat ass pockets he stopped all funding on Tesla's Colorado Spring's lab.

That's total BS....

Edison and Tesla hated each other...Edison certainly wouldn't have funded anything Tesla ever did. Edison was a major ass, and wanted to use his DC system instead of Tesla's AC system. Tesla won out, and with the help of George Westinghouse started the electrical revolution.

And Diploid if you know everything about this science then please explain to me how the casmir effect is produced in your own words.

Well I'm not diploid...but here's my explanation of the Casimir Effect.

First, remember that according to quantum theory you can never have an energy field that is exactly zero. The energy levels will jitter up and down around zero, but they won't actually be zero. This is what is more commonly referred to as the "zero point energy field"...that TINY bit of energy that's left when you take everything else away.

Now the Casimir Effect occurs between two uncharged parallel conducting plates, and is manifested as a force pushing the plates together. Conductive plates change the region of space around them by absorbing electromagnetic fields. The space between the two plates has a set of EM frequencies that will resonate between them, but the space outside the plates doesn't have this property...all EM waves are equally likely.

That difference, all waves as opposed to some, is what creates the Casimir Effect. The waves of "zero point energy" are larger outside the plates than inside them. It is very small at all but the smallest of scales.

Pretty cool....

The Casimir effect: a force from nothing

"""While the Casimir force is too small to be observed for mirrors that are several metres apart, it can be measured if the mirrors are within microns of each other. For example, two mirrors with an area of 1 cm2 separated by a distance of 1 µm have an attractive Casimir force of about 10-7 N - roughly the weight of a water droplet that is half a millimetre in diameter. Although this force might appear small, at distances below a micrometre the Casimir force becomes the strongest force between two neutral objects. Indeed at separations of 10 nm - about a hundred times the typical size of an atom - the Casimir effect produces the equivalent of 1 atmosphere of pressure. """

Too bad they can't put a "parallel texture" on both of the opposing mirrored surfaces....
The more extreme the texture, the larger the surface area....
I am **thinking** that increasing the parallel surface area would increase the force....
Eeeehhh.....?    :ohwell:
Prolly~ too tough to actually manufacture an accurate surface finish like that unless it's flat anyways....

This is what I mean....

Figure A:

Figure B:

1" x 1" x 1" outside dimensions of both blocks in both figures....

Fig A = 1.00sq.in. - Surface Area of one block face (only one block)....
Fig B = 2.01sq.in. - Surface Area of the jagged block face (only one block)....
These are actual numbers, but obviously the "V" shapes can be deeper to increase the surface area even more....

This is what I mean by an extreme "parallel texture"....
Double the surface area, same size starting blocks....

Double the surface area = double the Casimir Effect force....?

Double the surface area = double the Casimir Effect force....?

Not quite double, more like the flat surface force times the sine of the angle of each grove (or some such), but still greater than a flat surface.

Unfortunately, there's an upper bound. The more angled each of those sawtooth surfaces, the less each one contributes until when they're perpendicular to the original flat surface, they would not contribute at all.

From their own website "The sum of these claims for our Orbo technology is a violation of the principle of conservation of energy, perhaps the most fundamental of scientific principles. The principle of the conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created or destroyed, it can only change form." I personally believe in the principal of conservation, energy isn't created it's simply converted from one source to another source and is in constant flux and somehow linked to attention. Creating energy from nothing makes no sense to me. I'll read more about it, if this is true, this is of course the most revolutionary discovery ever.

Why do you think Steorn is developing Zero Point Energy? From what I've read I think it will turn out to be something more like the Minato motor Suess was talking about. Which, by the way, what did happen to that? At least from what I remember about Minato's creation the explanation around that seemed plausible. (That the permanent magnets were supplying the extra energy?) I seem to remember reading that some large corporation, maybe Boeing, also has patent on a circuit that appeared to produce over 100% efficiency.

My understanding is that this isn't the same thing as ZPE.

I wasn't quite as skeptical as others about Steorn until this latest "update" they had. That was a joke and I'm pretty sure this will end up as a mistake. I'm not convinced their purposely committing fraud though because they completely abandoned a profitable company when this was discovered. I will ecstatic though if it turns out to work.

There is a one million dollar prize up for grabs for anyone who can demonstrate an over-unity machine.

All they have to do is drive the machine down to south Florida to the JREF Foundation and show it actually doing what they say it can do. If the machine does what they say it can do, the million bucks are theirs.

But nooooo, instead they're putting adds in the FINANCE journal The Economist (not a science journal, duh) asking for scientists to come prove it doesn't work.

If it works, just show it fucking working already!

Why all the this validation balony? I'll tell you why: because they're looking for dumass investors to rip off, that's why.

I'm in the wrong business.

Honestly the casimir effect alone is enough explaination for me.  I know that are own government also posesses technology like this at Area 51.  They use this anti-gravity plasma technology for their spaceships that everyone think's are stupid ass ufo's.  There is also a guy working on distributing these same type of spaceships to the public right now his name is Mark Tomlion.

Why would the Casimir Effect be enough for you? When did they ever claim that this was what drove their technology?

And since this isn't M, R & P, I can safely say that you "know"nothing of the sort about technology our government possesses. Of course you're free to speculate and fantasize all you wish.

It appears you're very adept at that.

Thats based on fact I have a whole book on this if you want to check it out it's from the zpower corporation you should look it up and find it and then get back to me on this. Also here is a link explaining how space travel may be possible with zpe http://www.zpower.com/en/documents/Paper_ToTheStars.pdf

No it's not even close to a ion drive engine this far more advanced than that. And if you still don't believe me that this is based on real science then take a gander at this site its put out by Calphysic's Institute http://www.calphysics.org/zpe.html which incase none of you knew it is a very prestigous science lab. And actually read through it otherwise your not going to figure out what the hell this is all about.
