humidity gauges
    #686568 - 06/18/02 04:29 PM (21 years, 8 months ago)

I was using those cheapo stick on humidity and temp gauges you get at the pet stores. However the humidity gauge it stuck at 83%. I was worried my humidy wasnt high enough. Then I relized it must be broken. I then went to walmart and bought a gauge for $5 which was in dehumidifier department. This too crapped out after about a week. Seems like they cant handle humidity levels that are to high. Anyway I was at home depot and noticed that they have digital gauges for $20. I'm afraid to waste even more money. Anyone have any experiance with these. Or could someone give me a brand name of a good reliable gauge and where I can get it. Thanks

radioshack has some good ones.....
that one looks reliable. check their ranges before you buy, and take the other ones back! I've heard that alot of people don't use hygrometers w/ perlite. just follow the directions on some perlite tek.
