Same thing happened to me with my vermiculite casing. I accidently tilted it when I was getting it from under the bed and it became all lumpy because there was mycelium growing on it. So I left it alone for a few days and the fuzz didnt grow back. I deep scratched it and added potting soil to the top. That case is pinning as we speak =)
