Limited Space Suggestions
    #685182 -

Is there anybody out there who uses a very limited amount of space to grow their mushrooms? My Pet Rock and his friend Sammy the Stone are going to start growing in Sammy's apartment but he lives in an effiency(sp) apartment which is basically 1 room(If you're in the kitchen, you can take 3 steps back and run into the bed) so I was just seeing if anybody had any suggestions. Maybe a smaller terrarium or some shit.

Any suggestions will help.
Thanks in advance and thanks to the people who posted help on my last Topic.

You don't need much space to grow your mushrooms. You can grow them invetro in a jar. You can even use a 3 liter coke bottle. The possibilities are limitless.

I hope this helps my friend.

Yes my Pet Rock looked into the Invitro method but he was looking for a bit larger yield than what the jars offer.
I guess they don't have any choice since space is limited. Thanks for your help though.

You don't need to have casings or cakes within a seperate large terrarium as many do. I make my casings in rubbermaid containers from wallmart. Get the containers which are roughly 10 inches wide, 16 inches long, and a good 8+ inches tall. The casings placed in these on a decent layer of wet vermiculite are self sufficient. With Occasional misting they maintain humidity close to 100% and during fruiting stages just fan as often as possible to lower humidity. A heating source is unecessary depending on the environment you live in. Good luck.

Go to www.mycotopia.net and look up the chronic tek

I use one shelf of my walk-in closet to grow shrooms

I can fit 40 quart jars on one shelf and I can produce roughly 160 grams of dried shrooms (first flush) in just under 30 days from spore innoculation

these results were obtained using the EQ strain (which is one of the most potent)

This tek is extreamly simple and very low maintenance it hasn't been around long but I predict it will become a very popular way to grow shrooms
