Coat check sucks in 65 degree weather and they won't shut it down until two weeks from now. But rain = $$$$

Maybe not demanding...but it's more tiring than you'd imagine. I also probably work more than you'd imagine...6 days a week, and three to four out of those days I work about 16 hrs.

Not horray. I was in the West Village today doing a research project (going to sex shops for a class) and it started to rain. I had an umbrella but it turned inside out so I threw it away. I only had plastic on me so I couldn't buy one and I was soaked and cold. Fuck the rain :mad2:

I can't believe I'm hearing those words out of your mouth. Don't get mad at the annual behind rainfall average cause your umbrella was bunk. Be glad you're not in a drought.

But we just got 8 inches of rain in 48 hours like a week or two ago (Remember that Noreaster?). That's enough for a while. I was enjoying the sun.

It's where you put your coat.

IE: I went to a car show in Philly in Febuary and it was fucking freezing so I wore a gigantic coat. It was warm inside and I didn't want to carry my coat. So I checked it.

The 3 mornings I gave bicycle tours in the rain. Cold mountain rain. Sitting on top of a mountain waiting to watch a sunrise that isn't gonna happen cuz of clouds, followed by 30 miles of cruising through clouds, rain and 25mph winds.

At least the side of the island where I live in almost always nice and sunny, so after a day of biking in the rain it's nice at my place.

Coat checking is a serious business because some people hold hundreds( perhaps thousands) of dollars of goods in the coat. If they were to get robbed, they might be held responsibly!

I never thought about my coat being stolen from a coat check. If my $400 leather coat were stolen I'd have to destroy the coat checker people. Watch yo self, OMG :grin:

I guess since you live in the city, there's not much action.
Did you ever find any Morels there in Central park?

I found the nicest oysters yet last week, they were not those scrawny thin oysters but some thick fat beefy ones, perhaps a substrain of oysters but they smelled and tasted right and ID'ed with the gills and appearance( before taste testing)
I smeared the oyster all over this felled tree, and made sure to get spores and gill fragments deep inside the cracks and crannies, so it should be producing for the next few years :cool:

I tried that with a fallen tree in my back yard. Just put the mushroom on top of the thing and let it drop a spore print. No oysters :frown:

I've contemplated hunting morels in Central Park. I might try next week when I have a free day.
